jromal on Nov 8, 2025 Hi all.
As an early-adopter I am trying to migrate to Zensical. I guess 95% of us will do at certain moment. On the Zensical repo there are no discussions section and also I think it can be of more interest here. Therefore, I open this general discussion about the migration.
My experience so far. I have some problems with the logo. And still fighting to get things display correctly. But it is fast. And the serve function will be a killer function for my colleagues. They will love it.
Is there a tool from the team or that someone created for conversion? I tried with “Gemin Pro” (aistudio from google) passing just the files and did a great job. But maybe passing all the documentation related to the differences would do even better (1 Mio. tokens allow it and for free).
Anyhow enough from my side:
What are your experiences with the migration? Did you started from scratch ignoring the fancy modifications you have/had here? Did you use or know about a tool for conversion? Or some hints? … Thanks for your discussion

jromal on Nov 8, 2025 Author I realise that my documentation relies heavily on “awesome-pages” and it is not available yet. This is for the moment a big issue that stops me to switch it to production. I need to bring the navigation to the “zensical.toml” file which is not what I want.
Edit: I ended up using vibe coding to create a small program that reads the content of .pages files on all folders and updates the nav entry on the zensical.toml file. With a simple GUI and in a single executable file for uv.
