Video games have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and over the years that enthusiasm extended into writing about them.
Game Articles
I wrote a number of game reviews and articles for Cane and Rinse, a podcast and website dedicated to in-depth coverage of video games.
One of my favourite pieces I wrote for them is Gaming On Linux — an article exploring what it is actually like to play games on Linux, covering compatibility, tooling, and the state of the platform for everyday gaming.
Game Development
I worked in quality assurance on two VR titles developed by Force Field Entertainment B.V. in Amsterdam, both published by Oculus VR. My full credits are on my MobyGames profile.
Landfall (2017) — A post-apocalyptic tactical twin-stick shooter for PC VR built in Unreal Engine 4. The game supports solo and co-op campaign play as well as 1v1 and 2v2 versus modes. Landfall received an 86% average from critics and won first place at the 2017 Dutch VR Awards in the Games and Apps for VR and AR Headsets category.
Term1nal (2017) — A cyberpunk stealth game for Samsung Gear VR built in Unity. Players take on the role of hacker Flynn Lightman, remotely controlling an android to infiltrate a corporation across twelve story missions. Gameplay involves navigating security patrols, issuing commands to a companion robot dog, and completing first-person hacking mini-games at terminals.
