Rocky linux 10 installation on virtual box

clingonboy Jun 15 Hi, I’m very new to this forum. I try to install rocky linux 10 on virtual box but I get this error when the machine try to start the system:

end Kernel panic - not syncing: Attemted to kill init! exitcode=0x00007f00 My system is: Windows 10 home virtual box 7.1.6 iso i try: Rocky-10.0-x86_64-dvd1

clingonboy Jun 15 I try to set the virtual machine to EFI , during the starting of the sistem I get this error:

iwalker Community Team Jun 15 Rocky 10 like RHEL10 only supports x86_64-v3, therefore you need to configure the VM in VirtualBox to have hardware support for x86_64-v3.

Some google searches on that: Google Search

Either that or your hardware underneath with the CPU exposed isn’t x86_64-v3 compatible, and therefore VirtualBox reports the same and as such it will not be possible to use/install.

clingonboy Jun 16 Thanks for the suggestion, I will check better, it is not easy becouse it is linked to how windows handle virtualisation with virtual box, I will search.
