SoftIRQ Only Struggling One CPU at 100% (KVM)

Hi there,

Issue: websites/mails do not open fast till backups transfer finished.

I migrated from Cpanel to DA and everything was great except Backups.
I changed from CentOS 7 on a dedicated server to Centos 8 X86 64 Min Gen2 V2 on a virtual server (KVM) with 6 cores and 32gb ram.

I am using BlackBlaze and Onedrive to transfer backups files to. I use Rclone to backup and transfer out.
Both cases softirq seems to be at 100% over one CPU (cpu 1). The rest of CPUs have zero softirq usage. CPU usage is about 30% when transfering files to BlackBlaze/Onedrive all the time.

When transfering, server seems to delay websites loading giving timeout as an answer (about 5 min). No access at all or too slow.
But load is 30% and ram is low usage. Seems to be a network issue.

- What do you think?
- Maybe a Kernel issue? I found this article https://access.redhat.com/sites/default/files/attachments/20150325_network_performance_tuning.pdf
- Rclone is not multithreading?
- I use NETDATA to monitor this server.

I share whit you some data from my server:

Thanks in advance!

I think this link may explain to you more:

Why is ksoftirqd/0 process using all of my CPU?

I was feeling Ubuntu was running a bit sluggish, and then I went to see the processes running on it, and found one which was using something like 50% of CPU called ksoftirqd/0. Does anyone know w…

there is a lot of steps for workaround.

Thanks Ben, I found the same link yesterday!

when you debug your system use direct command, not NetData(it’s also taking i/O)
